Nixa sec­ond at con­fer­ence tour­ney (Ten­nis roundup)

  BRAN­SON — Nixa fin­ished as runner-up at the Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion Ten­nis Tour­na­ment on Wednes­day. The Car­di­nals were one-half point behind first-place Webb City.
  The Eagles’ Devin McDow­ell was the No. 2 sin­gles champ. Josh Dou­blin and Con­nor Bur­ton were sec­ond at No. 5 and No. 6 sin­gles. Char­lie Fen­wick and Brad Barn­hardt, along with Dou­blin and Bur­ton, were sec­ond at No. 2 and No. 3 dou­bles.
Lib­er­a­tors beat Bran­son
  Boli­var downed Bran­son 6–3 on Thurs­day to improve its dual record to 12–3.
  Alex Tal­ley was a win­ner in sin­gles and dou­bles play.
Neosho blanks Mon­ett
  Neosho shut out Mon­ett 9–0 to up its dual record to 8–5.
  The Wild­cats’ Matt Gar­rity was an 8–0 No. 2 sin­gles win­ner, as was Gar­rity and Bo Mahr at No. 1 dou­bles and Joey Cum­ming and Evan Clark at No. 2 doubles.

Boli­var takes COC Small Schools Divi­sion title (Ten­nis roundup)

  Boli­var cap­tured the Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Small Schools Divi­sion cham­pi­onship for the first time on Wednes­day.
  The Lib­er­a­tors totaled 21 points, while runner-up Spring­field Catholic had 17 , third-place Rogersville had 15 and fourth-place Reeds Spring had one.
   Trevor Sparks, Eli Samek and Aric Gooch all won sin­gles cham­pi­onships for Boli­var. Aug­gie New­berry, Kyle Shoe­maker and Kyle Bolton each took sec­ond. In dou­bles, Bolton/Gooch claimed a first and and Shoemaker/Samek took a sec­ond.
  On Tues­day, Boli­var edged Spring­fiedl Green­wood 5–4.
  Kyle Bolton won his sin­gles match 9–8 (7−2).
  Boli­var improved to 11–3.

  Nixa fell to Spring­field Glen­dale 7–2, while Neosho lost 7–2 to Thomas Jef­fer­son on Mon­day.
  The Eagles’ Brad Barn­hardt was an 8–1 sin­gles win­ner and Josh Dou­blin and Char­lie Fen­wick teamed for an 8–5 dou­bles vic­tory.

  NIXA — Nixa’s ten­nis team claimed an 8–1 tri­umph over Repub­lic on Thurs­day.
  The Eagles swept dou­bles play, win­ning by an 8–0 count in each match. Josh Dou­blin, Char­lie Fen­wick, Blake McDow­ell and Brad Barn­hardt all won in sin­gles and dou­bles.
  The Eagles shut out Mon­ett 9–0 on Wednes­day. They lost only five games in sin­gles play.
Neosho falls to Ozark
  At Ozark on Thurs­day, Neosho dropped a 7–2 deci­sion to the Tigers.
  The Wild­cats’ Matt Gar­rity won 8–1 at No. 2 sin­gles and teamed with Bo Mahr for a 9–7 win at No. 1 doubles. Neosho fell to 5–2 over­all and 2–2  in the Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Division.

Neosho edges Carthage (Ten­nis roundup)

  NEOSHO — Matt Gar­rity and Mike Kramer won in both sin­gles and dou­bles play to power Neosho past Carthage 5–4 in Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion action on Mon­day.
  Gar­rity won at No. 2 sin­gles over Tim Daniels 8–4 and teamed with Bo Mahr for an 8–5 win at No. 1 dou­bles over Jor­dan Ward and Ryne Cough­lin. Kramer pre­vailed 8–6 over Reg­gie Lash­ley at No. 4 sin­gles and com­bined with Jere­miah Jen­nings for an 8–3 win at No. 3 dou­bles.
  On Tues­day, the Wild­cats downed Bran­son 7–2.
  Mahr, Gar­rity, Joey Cum­ming and Evan Clark were sin­gles and dou­bles win­ners.
  Neosho improved to 7–2 over­all and 4–2 in the COC Large Schools Divi­sion.
Nixa whips Hill­crest
  On Mon­day, Nixa picked up an 8–1 win over Spring­field Hill­crest.
  Brad Barn­hardt and Josh Dou­blin were both 8–0 sin­gles win­ners. Devin McDow­ell won a 7–4 tiebreaker at No. 2 sin­gles. The Eagles swept dou­bles play, win­ning 8–2 in all three matches.
  On Tues­day, Nixa shut out Reeds Spring 9–0.
  Dou­blin and McDow­ell won their sin­gles matches by an 8–0 count. Dou­blin teamed with Char­lie Fen­wick to win 8–0 at No. 2 dou­bles.
  The Eagles lost only 13 games.
Lib­er­a­tors win fifth in a row
  Boli­var ran its win­ning streak to five by beat­ing Clin­ton 7–2. The Lib­er­a­tors improved to 8–2.
  Trevor Sparks, Kyle Shoe­maker and Eli Samek won in both sin­gles and dou­bles.
  Sparks and Aug­gie New­berry are 10–2 at No. 1 dou­bles. Samek and Shoe­maker are 8–2 at No. 2 dou­bles.
